Parvati Trübswetter studied economics at the University of Munich where she received her Diplom in 1998. She worked as an economist at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW) in Berlin until 2001, when she joined the chair of Prof. Stephan Klasen, Ph.D. at the Unversity of Munich. In 2002, she held a Marie-Curie Fellowship at the University College Dublin for three months. From 2004 to 2005, Parvati Trübswetter had a position at the chair of Prof. Patrick Puhani at the University of Technology Darmstadt. She received her Ph.D. for her dissertation on "Essays in Empirical Population Economics" at the University of Munich in March 2005. In April 2005, she joined the chair of Prof. Regina T. Riphahn, Ph.D. at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Since July 2008, Parvati Trübswetter has been working as a senior researcher at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB).
